"A" stands for limitless possibilities and
constant new beginnings ..
The Fool
card in the Tarot deck .. and that feeling of exhilaration
and uncertainty
at the start of every new adventure or phase in life.
This is -- to
me -- what being an author is all about .. constantly
testing out
personal boundaries against the "norm" .. equally
driven
by
passionate artistic exhibitionism and accompanying insecurity.
Always
attempting to get it "right" but ultimately accepting that the
odds
against
producing/publishing a larger work that is "perfect" are
great, and that
there is inner peace to be found in understanding/
knowing that
not everything I write will be (or needs to be) understood
or appreciated
by all in order to be good, successful, valuable or perfect.
There is ..
after all .. no perfection other than the miracles of humanity,
nature and the
drive to create.
I am an author
(it feels good to say that when asked who I am and
what I do). I
write in many genres, many languages and about
all sorts of
peoples, situations and cultures. I have many
publications to
my credit, but no work is ever as exciting to me
as the one I
happen to be working on at any given moment
in time.
